The reaction of either InMe₃·Et₂O or InMe₂Cl with a large excess of lithium hydride affords the organoindium hydride compound, [Li(tmeda)₂][Me₃In−H−InMe₃], the X-ray crystal structure of which shows the anion to have a bent hydride bridge.
