A bifacial tandem dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC–DSSC) is developed, which exhibits a high solar power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 12.76% with a current density of 27.61 mA/cm2. The present work demonstrates the integration of an LG6 dye sensitizer for near-infrared light utilization and an N719 dye sensitizer for effective visible light capture in the bifacial tandem cell design. The developed bifacial tandem cell with LG6 and N719 dyes exhibited better incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency spectra. The stability was tested for up to 814 h, and a stable performance was detected. The developed mini-module exhibited a maximum point power density output of 1.41 mW/cm2. This work opens up a pioneering research approach for bifacial tandem solar cells with the DSSC.
