Very Simple and Highly Modular Synthesis of Ferrocene-Based Chiral Phosphines with a Wide Variety of Substituents at the Phosphorus Atom(s)

Chiral ferrocene-based phosphines with a wide variety of substituents at the phosphorus atom(s) have been simply and modularly synthesized by ortho lithiation of Ugi’s amine and then reaction with PCl₃ and finally treatment with Grignard or organolithium reagents.
