An efficient method for the synthesis of trisubstituted vinyl sulfones is reported. Using the [Ir(COD)Cl]₂/phosphoramidite ligand (L1)/DBU, trisubstituted vinyl sulfones could be synthesized from allyl sulfinates in high yields as exclusively E isomers.
