Single-crystal Sb2S3 nanowires were synthesized at a large scale by a facile organic molecule-assisted
hydrothermal method. Such nanowires prefer to grow along the [001] direction. The as-prepared individual
Sb2S3 nanowire exhibits nonlinear current−voltage (I−V) characteristics, indicating its potential applications
in electronic nanodevices. The dominant conduction mechanism was studied and proposed to be different
under different ranges of electric field strengths, which was an ohmic mechanism at an electric field lower
than 400 V/cm, Schottky emission at an electric field between 400 and 1200 V/cm, and a space charge
limited conduction at an electric field higher than 1200 V/cm, respectively.
