2,4-bis(4-N-alkylthiosemicarbazono)pentane are mixed with trimethylaluminum
and -gallium reagents and were characterized by 1H,
13C,
and 27Al NMR, mass spectra, and elemental
analyses.
The structure of the compound 1 has been
determined
by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The
structural data reveal that compound 1 is a
trinuclear
aluminum compound with coordination numbers of 4
and 5.
