The process optimization for the synthesis of an RSV antiviral agent is described. Key to the identification of these optimal conditions was the use of high-throughput experimentation to greatly reduce the development time and realize significant process improvements in key steps such as the telescoped pyrazolopyrimidine core assembly and the borylation/Suzuki sequence.
