Dimeric Prenylated C₆–C₃ Compounds from the Stem Bark of Illicium oligandrum

Three new dimeric prenylated C₆–C₃ compounds, namely, illicidiones A (1), B (2), and C (3), were isolated from the stem bark of Illicium oligandrum. The structure and absolute configuration of these compounds were determined by extensive spectroscopic and chemical analyses, including NMR, modified Mosher method, and single-crystal X-ray study. Compounds 1–3 exhibited weak anti-inflammatory activities.
