(2-(Dimethylamino)ethyl)cyclopentadienyl Group VI Metal Carbonyl Anions and Divalent Tin(IV) Derivatives

Salts of (2-(dimethylamino)ethyl)cyclopentadienyl (Cp^N) group VI metal carbonyl anions ([M(CO)₃(η⁵-Cp^N)]^- (M = Cr, Mo, W)), important reagents for studies involving Cp^N, have been characterized by X-ray crystallography. These anions (M‘ = Mo, W) react with R₃SnCl (R = Ph, cyclohexyl) to provide structurally characterized tin(IV) derivatives.
