Datasets usually provide raw data for analysis. This raw data often comes in spreadsheet form, but can be any collection of data, on which analysis can be performed.
Reaction of a ketocalixarene with 2.2 equiv or an excess of PhLi affords diaddition and tetraaddition products, respectively. Ionic hydrogenation of the tetraalcohol 8a yields a calixarene monosubstituted by phenyl groups at all four methylene bridges.
