Novel Design of Tunable Organic Clay Mimic Structures Based on the Connection of One-Dimensional Supramolecular Synthons
dataset
posted on 2006-06-07, 00:00 authored by Tetsuharu Yuge, Mikiji Miyata, Norimitsu TohnaiWe report the design and construction of tunable organic clay mimic structures with one-dimensional supramolecular synthons
and aromatic tectons. By connecting the robust one-dimensional synthons with dicarboxylic acids, we succeeded in introducing the tectons
into layer motifs. Therefore, the structures enable us to control the intervals of the molecules and the direction of the synthons by just
varying the dicarboxylic acids employed.
