Glycoluril-based molecular clips incorporating tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) sidewalls have been synthesized, and the efficient binding ability in solution of this host architecture toward <i>m-</i>dinitrobenzene through donor–acceptor interaction has been demonstrated.
