The reactivity of the title complex [Cp2(OC)4Mo2(μ-PH2)(μ-H)] toward a variety of metal carbonyls has been investigated. In each case heterometallic clusters are formed in which the phosphorus has been dehydrogenated to yield, for example, [{Cp(OC)2Mo}2PMn(CO)4], which contains a trigonal planar phosphorus atom.
