Two new thorium complexes, a tetramer (1) of C₅Me₄Si(Me)₂NPhThCl₂, and a dimer (2) of Li(Et₂O)₂[C₅Me₄Si(Me)₂N-t-BuThCl₃], have been synthesized and characterized. In both cases, structural studies reveal the thorium centers may be viewed as having pseudo-octahedral geometry, formally with two dative and two covalent chloride interactions.
