(Fe3O4@MgSi) with efficient removal of Cu(II)
and malachite green
(MG) from aqueous solution were synthesized by hydrothermal approach.
The synthetic flower-like particle size was about 2–3 μm.
In the process of exploring the adsorption conditions, the isotherms
were found to be well-fitted by Langmuir, Freundlich, and isotherm
kinetics in accord with the pseudo-second-order model. In addition,
the maximum adsorption capacity was 2198 mg·g–1 when the Cu(II) concentration of 800 mg·L–1. These results indicated that Fe3O4@MgSi can
be used as a superadsorbent and recyclable adsorbent to effectively
and rapidly remove Cu(II) and MG pollutants from industrial wastewater
or drinking water.
