Densities and Speeds of Sound for Sucrose in Aqueous Solutions of Ammonium Phosphate Salts at Different Temperatures through Density and Speed of Sound Measurements
journal contribution
posted on 2019-08-21, 19:35 authored by Harsh Kumar, Isha Behal, Shrestha SiraswarVolumetric and acoustic studies of
sucrose with ammonium phosphate
salts, namely, ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (ADP) and diammonium
hydrogen phosphate (DAP), have been carried out using an oscillating
U-tube instrument, namely, Anton Paar DSA 5000 M. Densities and speeds
of sound in aqueous solutions of sucrose and mixed aqueous solutions
of (0.0, 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5) mol·kg–1 ADP and
DAP have been measured at four different temperatures (288.15, 298.15,
308.15, and 318.15) K and an experimental pressure of p = 0.1 MPa. Making use of the density and speed of sound data, the
respective apparent molar volume (Vϕ) and apparent molar isentropic compression (Kϕ,s) in aqueous solutions of sucrose and mixed aqueous
solutions of ADP and DAP have been determined at the above four temperatures.
