A Single-Bridge Strategy for Synthesis of a 3-D Heterobimetallic Cluster with a Heavily Distorted Diamondoid Topology and Enhanced Third-Order Nonlinear Optical Properties

A novel three-dimensional heterobimetallic cluster {[Bu₄N][WS₄Cu₃(CN)₂]}_n (1) with a heavily distorted diamondoid topology was constructed from the T-shaped building clusters [WS₄Cu₃]⁺ and single cyanide bridges in a 4-connected mode; this cluster shows strong third-order nonlinear optical properties.
