Tp‘PtH3:  A Stable Platinum(IV) Trihydride ReinartzStefan WhitePeter S. BrookhartMaurice TempletonJoseph L. 2000 Tp‘PtMe2H (<b>1</b>) reacts with Et3Si−H to form Tp‘Pt(SiEt3)(H)2 (<b>2</b>), which serves as a precursor to Tp‘PtH3 (<b>3</b>). Cleavage of the Pt−SiEt3 bond of <b>2</b> with methanol provides a clean route to Tp‘PtH3 (<b>3</b>), a rare N-supported monomeric platinum(IV) trihydride complex.
