In<sup>0</sup>, In<sup>I</sup>, or In<sup>II</sup> and lead to α-2,3-unsaturated-<i>C</i>-glycosides with good stereoselectivity. When glycosyliodoalkynes are used, trehalose-derived
compounds and α-(1→6)-<i>C</i>-disaccharides are obtained.
