From Helical to Staggered Stacking of Zigzag Nanographenes FengXinliang PisulaWojciech MüllenKlaus 2007 A new synthetic strategy toward novel alkylphenyl-substituted <i>D</i><sub>2</sub><i><sub>h</sub></i> symmetric zigzag nanographenes has been established, leading to different derivatives with specific substitution patterns of the disc corona. This concept allowed a facile control over the intracolumnar ordering of the molecules. For the first time, a change of the supramolecular organization from helical stacking to a staggered superstructure has been observed.
