Slow Magnetic Relaxation in Lanthanide Complexes with Chelating Nitronyl Nitroxide Radical Xiao-Ling Wang Li-Cun Li Dai-Zheng Liao 10.1021/ic100008g.s002 https://acs.figshare.com/articles/dataset/Slow_Magnetic_Relaxation_in_Lanthanide_Complexes_with_Chelating_Nitronyl_Nitroxide_Radical/2763052 Two rare-earth radical complexes [Ln(hfac)3NIT-2Py]ยท0.5C7H16 [Ln = Tb (<b>1</b>), Dy (<b>2</b>)] have been synthesized and characterized structurally as well as magnetically. Both complexes are isomorphous, in which the NIT-2Py radical is coordinated to the LnIII ion in a chelating manner. Magnetic studies reveal that complex <b>1</b> shows a frequency-dependent, alternating-current magnetic susceptibility typical of a single-molecule magnet, whereas slow magnetic relaxation is observed in <b>2</b> under an applied direct-current field. 2010-06-07 00:00:00 Slow Lanthanide Complexes Magnetic studies Chelating Tb isomorphou RadicalTwo complex Dy Relaxation LnIII ion relaxation Nitronyl susceptibility chelating manner magnet Nitroxide NIT
