From the parent imido or nitride salt, the corresponding aluminylimido–etherate adduct, (<sup>tBu</sup>nacnac)­TiN­[AlMe<sub>2</sub>(OEt<sub>2</sub>)]­(Ntolyl<sub>2</sub>), can be isolated and structurally characterized.
